EMCO Building, the construction firm which has overseen the remarkable transformation and completion of St Mary's Cathedral, is as passionate about this historic project as we are.
EMCO Directors, Don Cousens and John Ripp with support from General Manager, Ron Keogh, generously facilitated a request to all their suppliers and contractors who had worked at St Mary's, urging them to support our fundraising appeal.
We are delighted to report that Mr Tom Martinazzo and (son) Mr John Martinazzo from TOM'S CRANES were the very first Western Australian company to respond.
This well known company provided all the "muscle" required to move materials, steel and scaffolding around the site, and of course lift the new Spire into place.
On the afternoon of Wednesday 30 September, the Archbishop joined Don Cousens, Tom and John Martinazzo and Monsignor Keating at the Cathedral. On behalf of TOM'S Cranes, Mr Martinazzo generously presented His Grace a cheque for $20,000.
We wish to acknowledge and thank TOM'S CRANES and The Martinazzo Family for this wonderful demonstration of support for our Cathedral – thank you so much.
