Leadership Gifts and In Memoriam Giving Opportunities & Recognition Programme
Contributions of $10,000 and above to the St Mary's Cathedral Appeal are designated as Leadership Gifts.
We have been grateful to receive over $6 million in Leadership Gift pledges and donations thus far – the largest gift received was $1 million dollars and the average gift around $20,000.
Leadership gifts may be either a general purpose gift or provided for a specific building item such as the provision of vestments, the Statue of St Joseph or the Grand Front Entrance Doors. A full list of project items is available from our Appeal Manager, Mr Brett Mendez on telephone (08) 9427-0322.
Leadership donors may instead wish to have loved ones remembered forever, by participating in the In Memoriam giving programme. Once again, full details are available from the Appeal Manager.
All Leadership Gifts will be acknowledged in a beautiful Book of Remembrance, which will be prominently displayed in the Narthex (entrance to the Cathedral) for visitors to peruse.
In addition, once completed, the Archbishop will dedicate a special Recognition Memorial within the Cathedral grounds. This will acknowledge in perpetuity, the generosity of all Leadership Donors and In Memoriam contributors.
This memorial will include the donor's name and the specific project item or an In Memoriam acknowledgement, not the amount donated. In fact some donors have requested their gift to be registered as anonymous.
